With a decree issued on 31
December 2021, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus has kept the
public interest rate for 2022 the same as in 2021, at 1.75%.
The said rate is used, amongst
other, to calculate the interest charge on late payment of tax liabilities and
penalties.
