Further to our recent newsfeed on this matter, this is to note that it has been clarified by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus that the months for which the contributions to the General Healthcare System will be reduced based on the rates which were in force up to 29 February 2020 are those of April and May. This means that contributions for March will be based on the increased rates, which came in to effect as from 1 March 2020. Unless it is decided otherwise, the increased rates are supposed to resume from June onwards.
Further details with regards to the measures taken and any other measures to be decided will be reported as they become available.
