Further to our previous newsfeed
on this, the Cyprus Registrar of Companies (the “Registrar”) announced, on 31
January 2024, that any penalties imposed for late submission of data to the Register
of Beneficial Owners of Corporate and Other Legal Entities (UBO Register) are
waived.
Any penalties paid between 1
January 2024 and 16 January 2024 (which was the last day that penalties were
imposed) will be refunded.
Penalties will be imposed on non-compliant companies and other legal entities after the extended deadline of 31 March 2024.
